LINK BETWEEN SOCIAL CHANGES AND SYMPTOMS
During the the Black Death there was a rapid change in the society and economic factors of Europe. This is due to the symptoms and fear from catching the disease. People fled there homes and cities to get away from the plague and abandoned their friends and family that had the symptoms of the plague to protect themselves. Funerals we completely stopped because there was a risk of getting the infectious disease from the deceased, so as an alternative the bodies of the dead were harshly thrown into pits in the ground. However, not long after, the people who dug up the pits would experience the signs and symptoms of the plague and soon be the ones being tossed into these graves.
